Serviceminded staff. The only bad thing is the beach for small children, a little bit rocky with som corrals. But use the beach app 500m down the island." |

May 7, 2009 by Karel Van Velthoven Visit Date:May 5, 2009 "The strong point of this hotel is the location, which is quite unique in Thailand. Very quiet, natural surroundings, with tropical vegetation and palm trees lining up the beach. It is a bit over-priced though, especially in the high season. Bungalows are very basic, bed linnen and towels not very clean and smell not very fresh. The food is excellent! However, limited availability, especially of seafood (which you would expect to be abundant in the middle of the sea). The Thai staff was very helpful and very friendly. However, the supervisors where Filipinos. Extremely unfriendly people. Or when trying to be friendly it showed really fake! Also to the Thai staff they were very rude. I d suggest the owner to look into this.Besides this, if ur looking to get away of it all, Thapwarin is probably the best place you can find in Thailand" |

As always very good!, February 16, 2009 by Kirsten Holst-Eklund Visit Date:February 9, 2009 "In total a very fine resort.+: situated on an excellent island, competent englishspeaking staff, very quiet and laidback athmosphere, possible to utilise nabourhotels (Chateau Resot) swimmingpool, very nice parkstyle around spa with competent therapists.-: W-bungalows in the back (nr 10-12) are just on the other side on a brisckwall from the nabourresorts 24-hour diesel engine powerstation." |
Perfect, no problems., February 11, 2009 by Björn Sjösten Visit Date:January 11, 2009 "Clean, nice and a lovley view from our cottage! Very friendly staff. The spa was great. However the prices on the resturang went up 20% over night! So prices on the resturang are rather high! Don t forget yor bathingshoes for use during low water! If you takes a walk som 100 meters south on the beach, you will find good swimming conditions during low water." |

No problems at all! Booked all our six hotels thru sawadee. Easy and comfortable., March 9, 2008 by Samuel Linjer Visit Date:February 23, 2008 "A really paradise resort !!Stayed only for two nights in Warin Cottage . The beach and crystal clear water is brilliant. Snorkeling from the beach at low tide.Clean and cosy. No pool. The staff didn t give us too much attention but we can t complain. We took a walk (200 meters)to the nearby resort ( Hill.. resort something) and took a swim in a pool with a breathtaking view." |
Good!, February 11, 2008 by Patrik von Knorring Visit Date:February 5, 2008 "This was an ok resort but it was a little bit older than you can see in the pictures. Actually we stayed at a lot of resorts in Thailand and this was not a favorite..The information when we arrived was poor, for an example: The last day on our stay we heard from another guest that there was a pool! (Free acces to a pool in another resort) They never told us. It was also a quite poor breakfast and we also stayed at their sister-hotel called Mayalay Resort (15 min walking from Thapwarin on the same beach) and that resort was SUPER, it was so much better, the staff was nice, helpful and the food was superb. The bungalows was clean and much better looking than the once at Thapwarin. The beach was also much much nicer! Stay there instead! Patrik o Jessica from Sweden" |
No problem at all, February 1, 2008 by Niclas Olof Alfsvag Visit Date:January 17, 2008 "Very nice resort with friendly people in an awesome place, but it s not the best place to swim (corals). If you walk a couple of 100 meters from the resort it s less corals." |
Excellent bookingservice with quick replies, January 2, 2008 by Soren Stenberg Visit Date:December 18, 2007 "This is a very nice place that I can highly recommend. We stayed in a beachfront cottage and it was really excellent with among other things a perfect outdoor shower. Nice staff and very very serviceminded. A bit more expensive but quite worth it. Nice beach although you need swimshoes at low tide to cope with rocks and corals when you walk out. A reef with good snorkelling and lots of fish about 100 meters out. Nice food at the restaurant but a bit expensive and a 10% servicefee added to your bill. Ferryconnection from Lanta pier at 0900 in the morning so pls consider this if you come from further away. But believe you can arrange transfer arrival with speedboat directly with Thapwarin. This we did when we departed from Thapwarin - and then it was only 45 minutes to Lanta pier, 650 THB /person including transport to resort on Lanta. Thapwarin is the resort we will remember from our two weeks in Thailand - this is Thailand at its very best!" |
