by Julian SarmientoUpegui Visit Date:March 20, 2012 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "We stayed in this beautiful resort for 5 days. And it was one of the best holidays we ever had. After reading millions of comments about other resorts in Krabi, we decided to stick with Railay Village. As soon as we arrived to Railay beach, we we greeted by this amazing view. It s like a piece of paradise! Check in was quick and lady was very polite. Bell boy helped with our suitcases and than explained everything about our room. We stayed at the rooms situated next to second pool and we stayed on first floor. And I think it s better than ground floor, because otherwise everyone can see your room. We even had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. We spent there almost every evening, having a drink before we went for dinner. The only minus was next door neighbours! I understood, that all rooms have connected doors. And it s just a one tinny door separates you from your neighbours. So you can hear every single conversation they are having and I assumed they experienced the same. We didn t complain, since we didn t spend much time in our room. Don t expect a lot from breakfast. I ve red the comment, that you have to go for breakfast early, because the good stuff finishes quick and they don t replenishe that option anymore. Se first morning we went very early and all they had was steamed rice, soup, steamed vegetables, hot dogs an French toast. You can request and omlet, but I wasn t happy with it either. Juices are all synthetic, it felt like its a fruity powder mixed with water. The only thing I liked was fresh fruits and coffee. So after this experience we decided not to bother to wake up early and went there just before they closed and they had exactly the same. We ha food ones in restaurant and it was ok. Most of the time we went to East side of island (only 10 min walk) and they have plenty of restaurants. Our favourite was Last Bar restaurant! They have amazing fish choice and plenty of delitous cocktails! We used spa ones and that was on our last night. And I wish we could come there from the first day! Massage was sensational! Lady was very good and it s wasn t expensive either. It was sad to leave this beautiful resort with amazing tropical garden! We definitely coming back!P.s. one day we took a trip to James Bond island and monkey temple and cayaking. Don t bother. You will see the same views as you have on Railay beach and all day it s tiring and plus they are laying about 40 min transfer. It s actually 2 h in uncomfortable bus. Seriously, don t bother. Maybe Hong Islands, but I m sure it will look the same. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
by Andreas Visit Date:February 19, 2012 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "We had a room on the 2nd floor. Huge room, lots of space and calm environment. Pool area and garden are neat and well taken care of. Phranang Beach is 10 minutes away by foot. Hotel Restaurant on Railay Beach West serves delicious meals. Breakfast (choice and food itself) is average. Other than that we ll always come back." |
by Elise Atzen Visit Date:February 12, 2012 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "This was basically a 3 star hotel, with the potential of being a good 4 star hotel. The rooms were big and nice, but run-down and general maintenance was lacking. The breakfast buffet was slightly below average and with a restaurant staff that was lacking propper trainig, however, sweet and smiling. The decor of the breakfast buffest was lacking and table cloths were dirty. The hotel personelle were in general okay, but only if the hotel was a 3 star one. The reception was lacking english skills and were generally not very helpful. On the upside, the one pool was surrounded by beautiful flowers and had a great atmosphere and the hotel is located on the beach. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
by Traveller Visit Date:January 28, 2012 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Great location (right off the beach) but far enough back that the sound of the boats is not heard. Cute rooms, nice balconies, amazing pools (although the bigger one was often cloudy - perhaps too many chemicals?) and good food. Be prepared for no alcohol served as it s a Muslim establishment - but you can buy it just next door and bring it in to the restaurant. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |

by Andreas Hartung Visit Date:December 17, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Excellent stay. Very nice, clean and spacious room in the 2-storey buildings around the pool. Friendly and helpfull staff (changed the ground floor room initially given to us to a 2nd floor room upon our request with no hassle). Good beachfront restaurant. Great location right on the beach of Railey West. Disagree with the numerous negative comments about Railey Beach and this resort that are on various travel sites. We were perfectly happy with everything. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |

by Olivier COLSON Visit Date:March 19, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Nice location on the beach of West Railay. The restaurant, where you also take the breakfast, is close to the beach. The rooms with balcony on the swimming pool are very nice. The swimming pool is very nice with lots of flowers around. The spa provides very good quality massages. The restaurant is not expensive and very good (the best of West Railay accoring to us).The hotel does not have extra bed for third person. It only provides mattress on the floor. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
by Stephen Visit Date:May 23, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Fantastic stay! We stayed in the spa villa which was at the front of the resort and was very luxurious. The staff were very helpful and courteous. Room service food was exceptional! The spa services were a bit expensive though compared to the massages prices in Railay." |
